Ultimate Pupae Separator
3.5 mm slotted screen, custom oblong vents, 1/8″+
Best used for: the most tedious job in mealworm farming, separating pupae. Active larvae naturally wiggle and line themselves up vertically to slip right through the oblong slots, while the wide, rigid “elbows” of the immobile pupae stay trapped on top for effortless harvesting.
Beetle & Super Larva Sifter
2.5 mm, #8 mesh, ~3/32″
Best used for: isolating your absolute largest, market-ready “jumbo” worms and separating adult beetles from their bedding. Medium worms drop right through, leaving your clean breeding stock behind.

Best used for: routine maintenance of your main grow-out bins. This is the ultimate sweet spot for separating adolescent and medium-sized larvae from heavy frass accumulations before they reach market size.
Tween-Size Sifter
1.1 mm, #16 mesh
Best used for: the critical first sift of young, growing bins. We engineered this specifically to be slightly larger than standard 1.0 mm screens to prevent oblong frass pellets and wheat bran from clogging the wires. Granular waste drops smoothly, keeping your teenage worms safely on top.
Egg & Hatchling Saver
0.5 mm, #35 mesh
Best used for: cleaning breeding bins. This ultra-fine screen allows powdery micro-frass dust to fall right through while safely trapping microscopic, newly hatched larvae and eggs on top.
Frass collection: All frass collects cleanly at the bottom of your tub, ready for use as fertilizer or substrate.

How to find the right size Mixing Tub?
Look for:
10 Gallon, 28 in. L x 20 in. W x 6 in. H Home Depot and Lowes both carry it in US and Canada stores, around $8 US.
Look for: Lowes Item #19251, Model #206123 24″ L x 21″ W x 6″ D
Some places refer to it as “Medium” or “Small”
Another common size is 36 in. L x 24 in. W, which is too large. Usually called “Mortar Mixing Tub”.
Some hardware stores sell a slightly shorter model (26 in. L, 9 gallon) that should work fine.
The key is the 20 inches overall width.
Another way to check: measure across “peak-to-peak” should be 18-1/2”.
In UK and Europe, that’s 470mm.
